An independent community around the Microsoft cloud
Cumuliform cloud. Cumulus, in Latin, means “heap”, “accumulation”. The plural cumulos evokes the idea of a collective accumulation of knowledge, experience and practice.
Cumulos is a peer community born in 2008, shortly after Microsoft launched BPOS (Business Productivity Online Suite), the direct ancestor of Microsoft 365. We were among the first in France to structure a space for exchange around the Microsoft cloud, at a time when the term itself had not yet stabilized.
Since then, we have brought together architects, consultants, administrators, developers and decision-makers who use Microsoft cloud solutions daily. No commercial offer, no service, no marketing pitch: just peer-to-peer sharing.
What defines the community and sets it apart.
Cumulos is neither sponsored by Microsoft nor affiliated with any vendor. Feedback is free, including critical takes.
No expert hierarchy. A junior admin has just as much room here as an MVP or certified architect.
Discussions start from real production cases, not marketing slides or vendor documentation.
The areas covered by community exchanges, with a strong focus on generative AI and security.
Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot for Security, Copilot Studio, custom agents and AI integration into business processes.
Microsoft Purview, Defender XDR, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Zero Trust, regulatory compliance (DORA, NIS2, GDPR) and risk management.
Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, document governance, collaboration and adoption.
Infrastructure, identity, FinOps, hybrid integration, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and low-code architectures.
Cumulos was founded by Laurent Miltgen-Delinchamp, ten-time Microsoft MVP on cloud technologies (Microsoft 365), and a circle of dedicated professionals in autumn 2008, at the launch of BPOS. The community has since lived through every evolution of the ecosystem: Office 365, Azure, the transition to Microsoft 365, the arrival of Copilot and the emergence of generative AI within Microsoft tools, alongside the rise of cybersecurity, compliance and data governance imperatives.
